Hi All, we are starting to increase our use of IPAM and came across the following that seems to be odd:
Each IP within IP can be linked to an Asset - which is great
However, when you view an Asset, you can't see the IPs it has assigned from IPAM
So in our case, we are mapping out a cluster and would have found it beneficial to be able to see IPs that each asset has allocated (from asset-centric view). Initially we thought that it would be great if Asset Layouts would support Asset Link (like) fields so we can link to the IPAM records, however that maybe an overlap and duplication of work given IPAM already has the linkage of assets and we just need to expose it in Assets view.
This need particularly comes up when assets are multi-homed (ie in our case each asset spans 5 networks) or have multiple IPs allocated to it (I'd imagine hosting providers would have the same need).
Just putting this out there for discussion.
UPDATE: IP Addresses are in fact displayed for each asset under relations, however it only lists the actual IP and Subnet, but not any other details from that subnet (would be awesome to also show network description).
